October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. - Pink Ribbon Ball London which is taking place at The Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London on Saturday 10 October 2015. Guests show their support by bidding on amazing auction prizes, they are aiming to raise more than the figure last year which will go a very long way to help stop women dying of breast cancer by 2015. - Iconic UK landmarks turn pink for Breast Cancer Campaign: Last year The Eden Project, St Michael’s Mount, Chatsworth House and the Oxo Tower joined a host of famous and beautiful landmarks across the UK to ‘Look Good, Do Good’, in a bid to remind the nation to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s fashionable fundraiser, wear it pink! This day takes place on 23 October 2015.
- Race for Life: Over the past 20 years, more than seven million women have taken part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, raising over £513 million to fund the charity’s life-saving work. However this year, Race for Life will hope to raise £50 million so that it can keep on fighting until cures for all 200 types of cancer, affecting men, women and children, are found. You can walk, jog or charge 5k or 10k. Take part in a muddy obstacle course event or even try the half or full marathon- there are lots of way to support and it is just about how you want to do it because there is something for everyone. - Kate Moss showcases a lingerie set specially designed to raise money for the cause and this year she turns to the gorgeous model Cara Delevingne. The model poses in the hot pink Alina Playing Set and a percentage of the profits will be donated to the Linda Foundation to support the work in providing the most advanced early detection programmes and treatments for patients with breast cancer.
